Spirituality; the Missing Link of Modern Society

Modern and technologic society of today, in spite of all its increasing development, has failed in providing mental peace needed for its members. Many attempts, therefore, have been made to provide such a peace for the people enjoying material comfort; yet, as seen clearly, the success has been little. The reason why lies in the fact that the missing link of the today society is spirituality. As viewed in the paper, it is possible for revealed religions to give true spirituality, level the path for truth-seekers, support the hope of salvation in the enjoying peoples` heart and be a powerful motive for facing the dangers. Relying on the Islamic essential sources, the author has intended to explain the principles and components of true spirituality; a fact rooted in reality, upgrading human spirit and related somewhat to human deeds.
