The use of subject-oriented (separate, broad, and spiral) content organization patterns from the perspective of the instructors of Imam Khomeini University of Marine Sciences (RA)

The present study aimed to investigate the extent of application of subject-oriented content organization (separate, broad, spiral) from the viewpoints of the instructors of Imam Khomeini University of Marine Sciences. The research method is applied in terms of purpose, and in terms of method, descriptive is a field survey. The statistical population of the study was the instructors of Imam Khomeini Marine Science University and 160 students from formal and instructive instructors who were selected by stratified random sampling. A researcher-made questionnaire was used to collect the information and to test the questions. Validity of the questionnaire was confirmed by qualified professors and reliability using Cronbach's alpha (0.85). Data were analyzed using one-group t-test and SPSS software. The findings of this research have shown that from the perspective of the instructors of Imam Khomeini University of Marine Sciences, the subject-centered (separate, broad, spiral) content organization patterns have been significantly used in the curriculum. Also, there is a significant difference between the patterns of organizing the contents of separate, broad, and spiral subjects (P0.05). In general, the subject-oriented content organization patterns are applied at all three levels of distinct, broad, and spiral in a systematic and structured manner in the curriculum.
