Potential of Jeiruod phosphate mine run-off on Jeiruod river pollution

 Water quality in rivers is generally linked with land-use in the catchment areas that can affect the amount and quality of run-off during and following rainfall. Hence well management in catchments can reduce budget of treatment. In this research potential of run-off in Jeiroud phosphate mine on Jeiroud river pollution studied. Vicinity of this mine to the Jeiroud River (The main river of Latian Basin) is the main port of the work. To study these potential, parameters such as BOD, COD and dissolved elements measured in groundwater and in this water after flow in mining site. Results indicate increase in all measured parameters in water after flow in mining site and this can be an alarm for this area and all other area with such land-use.
