The Relationship between Organizational Ethics and Organizational Commitment among Employees of Red Crescent Society

Abstract:
Background and Aim
The main purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between organizational ethics and organizational commitment among employees of Red Crescent Society (RCS).
Methods
In this descriptive-analytic study which conducted in cross-sectional method 93 (75 male and 18 female) employees took part in research in a census sampling method. Three tools including demographic questionnaire, Victor & Cullen questionnaire and Allen & Mayer questionnaire were utilized to measure the variables. After sampling and gathering the questionnaires, collected data were entered into SPSS and analyzed with descriptive indexes and analytic tests including Kolmogorov–Smirnov test, one sample t test, Pearson test, variance analysis and regression. Findings: Descriptive findings showed that the mean of organizational ethics and organizational commitment were 93.35±16.69 and 99.27±19.24 respectively. In addition organizational ethics had positive significant relationship with organizational commitment (p<0/05) and organizational ethics could predict 7.6 percentage of organizational commitment.
Conclusion
According to results of the study organizational ethics and organizational commitment were both high and in preferable situation among employees of RCS (p<0/05). In other words, employees of RCS highly respected ethical standards and accordingly had high level of organizational commitment. It could be concluded from the research that by improving organizational ethics, increasing of organizational commitment will be occurred.
