The Challenges of Internal Immigration for the Zionist Regime

Since the establishment of the Zionist regime, the population spatial planning by governments has included a fairly balanced dispersion strategy of population. Initially, this policy was to protect a geographic area against the invasion of the Arab armies as part of the concept of territorial defense in which remote communities and areas played a key role in the border defense system. Next, this policy was designed to influence the demographic balance between Jews and Arabs in remote areas. Within the framework of this policy, huge budgets were allocated to create new communities and to reform the generation and increase the life expectancy in al-Jalil, east of Sharon and Naghb, and other areas. In spite of these efforts, and with regard to demographic patterns around the world, with population groups migrating to their country's economic and social centers, the priority of the Zionist community has become stronger for living in the center of Israel over the past three decades. This trend has been in a huge movement from the residents of Nabb and Al-Jalil to center and residents of the central regions also prefer to stay there. This article, by descriptive-analytic method, shows that the Zionist regime has faced a serious problem in dispersing its population across the occupied territories and the desire to live in the southern and northern regions of the occupied territories has declined. Since the strategic depth of each country is not determined solely by military-security components, demographic and identity issues are effective in increasing strategic depth, and the Zionist regime is inherently lacking in terms of strategic-depth in military-security concept and by the problem of population displacement from the north and south of the occupied territories to the center faced serious problems.
