Afghanistan; Confrontation and Confluence between Taliban, Hekmatyar and ISIS

With the persistence of fundamentalism and extremism in Afghanistan, the need to recognize extremist thoughts is essential. By identifying the common and different points of these thoughts, we can follow the root and context of these currents and their supporters, and we can understand the dimensions and angles of their thinking better. In this research, based on the conceptual issues related to "fundamentalism and extremism, " we tried to study the extreme and their intellectual, political, military, and operational background of each of the three streams of the Taliban, Hekmatyar and ISIS, as well as an analysis of their confrontation and confluence and its impact on the security of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Based on this, there seems to be a kind of confluence in the views of all three groups that are against the Islamic Republic of Iran.
