Identifying and measuring the structural relationship of strategic leadership explanatory factors in urban management : case study: Isfahan metropolis

Abstract:
The acceptance of change in organizational behavior is at the managerial level, from management to leadership. In the meantime, strategic leadership sees leadership guidance in the perspective of strategic development, and bi-directional and multimodal communication with a focus on knowledge with the environment inside and outside the organization. It seems that accepting the change and moving from a focused approach to the strategic (strategic) approach in the area of urban development planning requires a change in the organizational behavior of the urban management arena, until prepare for the adoption of strategic changes and to reduce the barriers and damage to this change. In the present study, the applied approach to target ology and the descriptive-analytical approach in the methodology section; to analyze and identify the strategic leadership factors in the urban management process of the metropolitan city of Isfahan. The research questions are, firstly, what are the drivers behind the strategic leadership in urban management in the metropolis of Isfahan. Second, do the identified factors have a significant structural relationship to explain strategic leadership in urban management in the metropolis of Isfahan? In this regard, the documentary method is an interview to develop the measures needed to identify the operational drivers of the research and a survey method has been used as a tool for collecting analytical data of the research. Sample population consists of 60 university professors and experts and officials of municipalities of 14 regions and urban planning organization of Isfahan metropolis. Structural Equation Modeling Software (AMOS) was used to answer the research questions. The results of the study in the first place led to the identification of the three main drivers of the strategic leadership explanation, namely, knowledge-based developments with combined validity (CA), 0.87, baseline correlations with 0.89 and empowerment transformations with 0.88 in urban metropolitan area of Isfahan metropolis. These propellers, by explaining an average of 0.94 extracted data variances (AVE) in the second, have a structurally significant structural correlation based on weighted regression (WR) in the form of structural equation modeling. In this way, the evolution of knowledge base is explained with 0.57, the correlation of the base with 0.59 and the empowered transformations with 0.6 percent of the strategic management process in the urban management of the metropolitan city of Isfahan
