The effect of applying information technology on competitive advantage with moderating role of khnowledge management

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of information technology on knowledge with moderating role of khnowledge management. The research was applied in terms of purpose and correlational in terms of methodology. The statistical populations were employees of Iran insurance company in east azeabaijan province. The data gathering tool was a 50 item questionnaire, the reliability of the questionnaires was confirmed by Cronbach's alpha and their validity was confirmed by content validity method. The hypotheses were analyzed by using LISREL software and structural Equations model. Findinds: According to the obtained results, applying Information Technology has a significant effect on the Competitive Advantage with moderating role of khnowledge management. Also, the applying Information Technology has a significant effect on the Knowledge Management; the applying Information Technology has a significant effect on the Competitive Advantage; the Knowledge Management has a significant effect on the Competitive Advantage. applying the modern tools of Information Technology Provides the ground for a better implementation of knowledge management process and led to competitive advantage for the organization. In other words, providing Information Technology infrastructures provides new knowledge for Employees and improves knowledge management and led to improve job productivity.
