Causes and Consequences of the Crisis in the Political Coherence of Al- Azhar and the Muslim Brotherhood of Egypt

At the center of developments in the Arab world, called "Islamic Awakening" or "Arab Spring," the Egyptian revolution and the rise and fall of the Muslim Brotherhood in the formation of the state, and finally the return of the military in power is very interesting that needs to be explored. The present article seeks to examine the causes of this crisis and its consequences, centered on the claim that the crisis in the political cohesion of the two Islamic institutions of Al-Azhar and the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood has been the most important effective component of Egypt's developments in post-Mubarak era. One of the most important reasons for this crisis, can be mentioned the intellectual gap and consequently, organizational split of these two, and the result was the Brotherhood's defeat in state-building and Al-Azhar in the independence of the state.
