The effectiveness of logo therapy training on boredom and flourishing of female high school students

Abstract:
Meaning in life is the basic foundation of the person's motiovation. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of logo therapy training on boredom and flourishing of female high school students. The study method was semi-experimental with pre-test-post-test and follow-up design and the control group. The study population included all second grade high school female students of two public schools in Khorramabad city area 2584 inthe academic year 2015 – 16(2584 girls). The sample sizes were 32 girls ( 16 in the experiment group and 16 in the control group) who were selected through multi-stage random cluster sampling. The research instruments were the Farmer and Sundberg Boredom Questionnaire and Diener and Biswas-Diener Flourishing Questionnaire. The results of analysis of covariance showed that logo therapy training reduced boredom and increased flourishing in the post-test that was preserved in the follow up. Based on the research results, it can be said logo therapy training reduces boredom and increases flourishing among second grade jigh school female students.
