Study of the effects of Mehr housing projects on rural- urban migrations (Case study: Mehr housing projects of janbazan district of Ilam city)

Housing is one of the basic necessities of every human being and in different countries; governments have implemented comprehensive plans and Proceedings in the field of housing in different classes. One of these proceedings on Iran in recent years is the policy of housing for low-income classes which is known as the "Mehr housin". According to the execution and completion of most of its phases, is required by various methods, be examined its effects and consequences.The aim of this study is the effects of Mehr housing projects in the city of Ilam on encouraging villagers to migrate and settle in this project. Accordingly, the type of research is applied, research method is descriptive and analytical, the method of collecting information is library and field and methods for data analysis is both descriptive and inferential statistics (T-test & Friedman). Statistical society under study is consists of rural migrant households resident in janbazan sector of Ilam city which had migrated to this city between the years 2012 to 2016 that obtained the number 86 head of household according to snowball sampling. The results show the “Mehr housing bank facilities” has been effective in encouraging rural-urban migration. Also, the results of the research show that supervision and government regulations related related to Housing Mehr" have been effective in encouraging the migration of villagers to the city.
