Measuring the Continuity of Presence in Urban Space and effective factors on it (Case Study: Mahabad Family Park)

The present study was conducted with the aim of evaluating Mahabad's “family park” based on the components of continuous presence of users in space, as well as Identifies the affecting factors on Improvement of the people’s presence in space, through descriptive-analytic method. The data gathering method in the present study is documentary and field studies. Documentation sources have been used to develop theoretical principles and extracts the spatial appraisal indices. The field studies have been conducted in the form of questionnaire to evaluate spatial indicators and assessment the affecting factors on continuous presence of users in space. Also, SPSS software was used for Cronbach's alpha, KMO, Bartlet, T.test and multiple linear regressions. The value of Cronbach's alpha and KMO tests, higher than 0.7, as well as the significance level of Bartlett's test, were less than 0.05, that indicating the internal and structural definition of reliability and validity of distributed questionnaire. Also, the results of t.test on independent case study showed that generally studied urban space was average in terms of space users. The results of multiple linear regression analysis revealed that the components of activity diversification, sociability, Memorable, identity, comfort and vision and access are the most important and most influential factors that improve the presence of people in the study area. Meanwhile, diversity of activities and sociability can be expressed as the most important components in this field.
