The Influences of Ibne Arabi on Hafez

Hafez is one of the Iranian formalist poets not being limited to a particular method of mysticism. However, he has used mystical themes in his poems artistically and has been under the influence of the school of Ibn Arabi whose ideas have been dominant in Iran since the middle of the 7th century.
In this article by using historical and textual evidence, we intend to prove Hafez was familiar with the concepts of Ibn Arabi's school. The circle of Hafez's connection with Ibn Arabi's school can be found in the lives and works of individuals like Amin Baliani, Khaju Kermani, Salman Savoji, Ohadi Maraghei, Mirseyyedsharif Jorjani, Rokneddin Shirazi, Fakhreddin Eraghi, Ibn Farez and some other scholars and mystics and even somebody like Ale Jalayer. This idea can be supported by providing historical and textual evidence of the influence of Ibn Arabi's school on these individuals and then explaining the relationship between them and Hafez respectively.
