The effect of eight weeks of practice High intensity interval (HIT) and Moderate-Intensity Continuous Training (MICT) on FGF12 and insulin resistance in obese boys

Introduction
Fibroblastic Growth Factors (FGF21) secreted from various tissues of the body, like skeletal muscle, liver and pancreas are one of the most important metabolic regulators in the body that act on different tissues. The purpose of this study, fact of eight weeks of practice HIIT and MICT on FGF21 and insulin resistance in obese boys.
Methods
In this quasi-experimental study, 54 obese young boys (BMI: 24 kg/m2) were randomly selected and homogeneously divided into three groups with a HIIT (Weight 11/51±11/01 kg), MICT (Weight 11/11±11/01 kg) and control (Weight 11/01±1/44kg ). subjects performed HIT and MICT exercise sessions for 0 weeks and 3 sessions per week. HIIT with a severity of 11 to 119 MHR and MICT included 51-minute running with a 51-149 MHR. The control group during the study period did not participate in any exercise program. Blood samples were taken in fasting state, 25 hours prior to start and 50 hours after the last training session with underlying conditions, and FGF21, glucose and insulin values were measured by ELISA method using human kits. Data were analyzed using K-S test, paired t-test, ANOVA and Bonferroni post hoc test using SPSS software version 22 at a significance level of ≤1014.
Result
The results showed that FGF12 serum levels and insulin resistance in HIIT and MICT groups had a significant increase(p≤.0.0). Also, pre-post-post-test changes in FGF21 serum levels and insulin resistance were significant in the HIIT and MICT group compared to control(p≤1014).
Conclusion
HIIT and MICT have led to changes in fat cell status due to obesity, physical activity, and an effect on increased FGF21
secretion, and these exercises to reduce risk factors associated with obesity and health promotion are proposed.
