Islamic Civilization in Transition; the Necessity of Foresight and Strategic Planning in Creating the New Islamic Civilization

While the global community is facing fundamental and significant crises, the competition between great world civilizations has placed the Islamic world in a transition phase, where the owners of each civilization can overcome such crises and introduce a solution to the human community in order to survive the transition and form a new civilization. The Islamic world is at the pre-new-Islamic-civilization phase and may offer a new civilization to humanity should it survive the transition. Thus, accurate identification of the current state of the Islamic world and elaborate description of factors influencing the civilization competition between the Islamic world and rival civilizations can pave the way of transition to new Islamic civilization.
This paper used the SWOT method to identify the weaknesses and strengths of the Islamic world in addition to the threats and opportunities against its rivals for shaping the new Islamic civilization. Following an accurate description of the status quo, we discussed the state of Islamic civilization in the pre-new-Islamic-civilization phase and proposed strategies for the transition from the existing phase to the new Islamic civilization
