The effect of Fazl b. Shazan family on Shi’a Hadith in the books of Oyoun Akhbar al-Ridha and Ekhtiyar Ma'refat al-Rijal

In this paper, the role of the Shazan family in the hadiths and narratives of the Oyoun Akhbar al-Ridha and Ekhtiyar Ma'refat al-Rijal books has been investigated. In this regard, attempts have been made to answer these questions of how have the narratives of these books influenced the members of the Shazan family? Moreover, how many of the hadiths which include in the books are attributed to this family? The results show that beside of the Fazl ibn Shazan, there had been from the other members of the family as the dynasty of narrators and a significant share of the narratives belongs to them. The Shazan family was one of the most prominent Shi'a clans in Nishapur, which had played a particular role in the continuation of Shi'a in Khorasan. Most of this family had been as companions of Imams (a.s.) .hence, the Shi'a concepts and mores had been spread in the cities such as Nishapur and Beyhaq by them. Besides, the studies which have been investigated and analyzed based on the above-mentioned sources show that there had been a relationship between some members of this family and those books' authors as teacher-student. Moreover, "Sheikh Sadukh" and " Mohammad bin Omar Kashi" had been among the chief elders.
