Determining the role of humor and social adjustment in predicting the burnout of staff at Payame Noor University

Abstract:
Humor and adaptability are a set of uncultural abilities and skills that increase the ability of a person to succeed in coping with environmental pressures, especially burnout. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of humor and social adjustment in predicting job burnout among Payame Noor University employees in Zahedan. This descriptive-correlational study was conducted in Zahedan in 1397. The statistical population consisted of all employees of Payame Noor University of Zahedan who were selected by census method of 70 people (all subjects). Data were gathered by three questionnaires: social welfare, social adjustment and burnout. The data were analyzed using mean and standard deviation tests and correlation using spss-23 software. The level of humor and burnout of the employees are high and moderate, respectively. There is a reciprocal correlation between wit and burnout at a level of ≥ 0.05. There is also a reverse correlation between social adjustment and burnout at a level of ≥ 0.05. Regarding the relationship, it is suggested that a training program be conducted to reduce burnout.
