Review of relation between use of communication media and feeling of oppression, inequality and difference by women (case study about women in Tehran)

The present research is aimed at examining the relation between use of media communication such as newspapers, social media, TV channels and satellite TV channels and feeling oppression, inequality and difference among women by using survey method and questionnaire technique among a sample population of 400 women aged between 25-55 year old in Tehran. The gathered data were analyzed by SPSS software and correlation between hypotheses of the study was examined through correlation tests. The objective behind this work is to find impact of the use of communication media on feeling oppression, inequality and difference among women. Findings show that use of such media by women has a significant impact in feeling oppression, inequality and difference on women. The positive correlation coefficient is an indication of direct relation among components of the test to an extent that by increased use of media, the extent of feeling oppression, inequality and difference by women increases and vice versa. By taking the results and findings of the research into consideration, at the conclusion of the paper, some recommendations have been made for more effective policymaking for media programming.
