Abstract:
The aim of this paper was to study the impact of dust-centered environmental attitudes on some sociological variables (case study: Ahvaz city). The statistical population of the present study included all of Ahvaz citizens based on 2011 census. The sample of the study comprised 384 people based on stratified random sampling method. Research variables consisted of willingness to migrate, life satisfaction and feeling of social deprivation. A quantitative research method (survey) was used in this study and the data was collected through a self-constructed questionnaire based on a Likert-type scale with five choices. The reliability value of the items was rather high as measured by Cronbach's alpha (r=0.7). Besides, the validity of the questionnaire was confirmed by specialists. The data was analyzed via SPSS software. The results show that there is a significant direct relation between dust-centered environmental attitudes and variables such as willingness to migrate and social deprivation and a significant inverse relation between dust-centered environmental attitudes and life satisfaction.
