A Comparative Study of China and Iran in the National Security Strategy of the United States of America

The main purpose of this paper is to examine the Tramp's grand strategy towards China and Iran as two major actors in the regional order of East Asia and the Middle East. The main argument of this paper is that the " Offshore Balancing " strategy, based on the concepts of "balance of power against China" and "balance of threat against Iran", is the main element of the Tramp strategy based on the National Security Strategy 2017 document in the presidential term. This paper is a descriptive-analytic research with emphasis on comparative approach and its methodology is documentation.
