Exploring the Element of Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice in Musavi Lifestyle and Imam Khomeini’s Political Behavior

The promotion of virtue and prevention of vice as one of the social precepts of Islam includes such a great capacity that public movement and mobilization for embarking on uprising and revolution are only one part of it which is, of course, the greatest part. This capacity showed some of its power manifestations in the Musa Ibn Imran’s Uprising when confronting Pharaoh, mobilizing Israelites and their historical migration. The same element was used in the Islamic Revolution of Iran by the religious scholar and Mujtahid, Imam Khomeini, to integrate and organize the nation of Iran against the atheist corrupt ruler. The outcome of both movements has been overthrowing of political structure and achieving power and creating a political system based on religion and divine teachings.
The present paper intends to illustrate how this virtue is applied in a community and prevention of social and political macro-corruptions as well as exploiting its capacity to create a revolution and systematization with an emphasis on two lifestyles of Musavi and Imam Khomeini’s political status.
