Presentation of a Purposeful Entrepreneurship pattern of Librarians in Academic Libraries from the Viewpoint of motivational (psychology), competency and support

This article deals with study of characteristics pertinent to entrepreneurship on three components: motivational , competency and support and introduction of conceptual model of entrepreneurship for academic librarians in the libraries and information centers in line with the ongoing tasks. Research is of applied type and the method is analytical survey. This study has been conducted by analyzing characteristics of entrepreneurs based on entrepreneurial sources and collected comments of twenty five library experts, entrepreneurs and psychologists who are faculty members of university. Questionnaires have been applied for verification of such characteristics and their development in the libraries of universities. Entrepreneurship psychological characteristics in librarians were more than average and librarians' entrepreneurship protective features were significantly less than average. Findings demonstrated that from among the entrepreneurial characteristics mentioned, for motivational component12, for the competency component, 15and for support component 5characteristics are the ones, as agreed by the researchers, librarians should have. Consideration of entrepreneurial characteristics in the field of library and information science due to individual and collective tasks demands introduction of entrepreneurial model for offering services to those who are involved in using the information in national and international competitions. The functional model presented in this article has been inferred from the scientific outcome and mentality in the field of psychology and management. In fact, an innovative approach to library and information science has been proposed and prescribed, which is itself end result of an approach out of wisdom and regarding the specific principles generated by studies of other sciences.
