Abstract:
Resistance literature is an important cultural weapon of the oppressed nations against the oppressors. This term has always been associated with anti oppression movements. This genre is enjoying a long historical background with Abel and Cain as its most primitive example. Men of letter and poets felt deep sorrows due to the miseries and pains of their nations and, along with their people, have given voice to these agonies in their works. This literary style has an eminent status in Palestinian literature and has functioned as a medium to reflect the issues of Palestine in its contemporary poetry. Ali Foudeh is among the poets who have paid due attention to Palestine. Loving the motherland, the honor of being Arab, inviting to resistance and trying to alerting the people is among the recurrent themes of his poetry. The present research is intended to shed light on aspects of resistance literature in Ali Foudeh’s poem collections through a textural analysis of his poems.
