Analysis of the role of public spaces in urban vitality (Case study: Tehran Laleh Park)

One of the important features of public urban space is accessibility and publicity. These spaces represent the everyday life of the people and are in contrast to the private life space. Urban parks, as part of the public spaces in cities, play an important role in addressing human needs such as leisure, recreation and entertainment. Identifying the effective factors in the vitality of a space can be effective in analyzing the status quo and future decisions in order to improve the quality of the city's public spaces and prevent the repetition of deficiencies in the construction of city spaces and spaces. In this research, factors affecting the vitality of the city, such as Tehran Laleh Park, were studied. The type of research in this research is applied and the method of data collection is in two documents (library) and surveying (field). The data gathering tool was a questionnaire, and SPSS, GIS, EXCEL software was used to plot and chart the results and analyze the results. The results of single-sample T test show that, based on citizens' opinion, the average obtained among these indicators, the aesthetic index has a very good situation with an average of 4 out of 3, and in contrast to the brightness index with an average of 2.03 3 is in poor condition. As a result, to increase urban vitality, the special attention of urban authorities is needed to overcome the shortage of public space
