Analysis of Economic Barriers of Women Participation in the Process of Rural Development (Case Study: Hamedan village city)

Based on development literature, ,development approach were taken into account based on participation of the people, especially the participation of women in many developed countries since 1980s. Accordingly, empowerment and capacity building participation of women was put in the spotlight of works related development , particularly rural development.This research has been done by using descriptive and analytical methods to assess the barriers to economic participation of women in the process of development of rural settlements of Hamadan city. The most significant barriers to the economic participation of rural women in the development process in the study area include ignoring them in policy making and planning, lack of necessary training in order to enable economic capabilities of women, lack of organization and cooperatives of production for rural women. Statistical Society in this study is 50 out of 107 villages of Hamedan city. In the first stage, 50 questionnaires were completed among rural trustees,in the second stage, 382 questionnaires were completed in among rural families. Then, the set of descriptive- analytical methods, correlation test and multivariate regression was used to show the relationships between variables. Research findings showed that despite participation of women in various agriculture and non-agricultural activities, they have little access to tools and production inputs, bank credits and loans.The results showed that there is a significant relation between ecological environment indicators, socio-cultural indicators, economic indicators and physical-infrastructure indicators and level of participation of women and thus, rural development.
