Analysis of age-friendly city in Iran

Age-friendly city as a new approach in urban planning has been introduced by the World Health Organization. According to the organization's approach, the aged-friendly cities include those urban spaces that distribute public services in such a way that they are as close as possible to the needs and limitations of the elderly. In addition, in such cities, attention is paid to the needs of the elderly as a requirement for cultural indicators and interpersonal interactions. In this research, using descriptive-analytical method and using available scientific resources, we tried to analyze and analyze the concept of the Elderly City. According to content analysis in this study it appears that attempts have been made in order to fulfill the age-friendly city. But there is still a gap that needs to be completed as soon as possible to build and complete urban spaces suitable for the elderly.
