An Explanation of the Relationship between Jihad and Terrorism in Political Islam( to Imami and Takfiri Belief)

The issue of ‘Jihad’ in Islam is one of the important issues of human-Islamic and one of the most sacred practices. But it has been turned into a weapon against Islam by enemies of Islam. Today, there are two main attitudes in Islamic world which both in the same emphasis on Jihad, suggest two different approaches: Imami and Takfiris. Thus, our issue is the relation between political Islam and Jihad with terrorism and the main question is how this relation can be plotted by its Salafi in two main political Islam approaches; Imami and Takfiri? To ask this question, research findings which have been analyzed by the analytical approach and comparative method show that based on Imami approach it can be inferred that Islamic Jihad is "defence action" to adjudication, disposal of oppression and it is opposed with terrorist acts which are originally aggressive and inhuman attacks. So Islamic Jihad cannot be a justification for handling terror in international relations. While in Takfiri approach using violence and terror named Jihad is a means to spread Islam. Thus, Imami believes in Jihad as a means in order to create peace and peaceful coexistence.
