Abstract:
This paper examines Barth's view of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries of the German Lutheran church and his views on the true mission of the church. Karl Barth, as an academic theologian and preacher, is both concerned and interested by Christian scholars and theologians, especially those who are studying the German nineteenth-century theology. In discussing the negative role of the Church of Germany, it should be noted that he, as a preacher, directly concerned with social issues, and did not comment on theological issues solely in abstract and academic terms. On this basis, he has been able to put his theological ideas in a practical way in the community. Therefore, it should always be in the mind of the researcher that Barth seeks to find a way to practice the Word of God by the Church at the community, and it is not enough to only study the subject from the point of view of the academy and theology. Therefore, he challenges the Church of the nineteenth and twentieth century about the patronage of war and destruction of the relationship between God and man.
