Evaluation of the report of one hundred books of Imam Sadiq's companions according to Ahmad Ash'ari quoted from Ibn abi Umair

Ibn abi Umair was one of the prominent narrators lived in the late second and early third centuries who was from the third generation of the people of consensus. He was blessed with meeting of Imam Kazdhim(AS), Imam Rezda(AS) And Imam Jawad(AS). Also he was one of the most famous narrators in the transmission of Hadith sources to his disciples. Ahmad ibn Muhammad bin Isa Ash'ari has been one of his most distinguished students. According to Shaykh Tῡsi, Ahmad Ash'ari has narrated the works of hundreds of Imam Sadiq's companions via Ibn abi Umair. The present paper aims to evaluate this report, based on available evidence and available documentation and indexes. It can be estimated that the mentioned number is approximate and close to reality.
