The impact of Wahhabism on the formation of fundamentalist movements in Pakistan

The issue of Islamic fundamentalism is one of the most important issues currently faced by the Islamic world. Pakistan is one of the countries that is at large involved with this issue. Extremist fundamentalist groups are active in the country, ideologically and believingly influenced by Wahhabi, highly sectarian and anti-Shia thinking. The contradiction in the political ideology of this cult with the Shi'a religion and its neighboring country with the Islamic Republic of Iran as a Shiite country of religion has added to the purpose of this article the importance of Wahhabi's role and role in the emergence and expansion of religious fundamentalism in Pakistan. The findings in this study indicate the impact of Wahhabi's ideas on religious creation and religious fundamentalism in Pakistan, which has intensified with financial support from Saudi Arabia and the influence of Wahhabi religious clerics in Pakistan's religious community, especially its religious schools.
