Improvement of Procurement Management Process with Value engineering Approach in a Governmental Project-Owner Company

Projects are crucial in the social-economic development of a country. One of the considerations in projects is the procurement of goods, works, services, and consultancies as inputs to implement projects in order to achieve the desired objectives. In this paper, project procurement management processes is evaluated with value engineering approach. Value engineering (VE), which is also known as value methodology (VM), is a systematic and structured approach for improving projects, products, and processes. The objective of the analysis is the identification of potential problematic areas and the design of new framework in order to maximize the possibilities of a successful implementation of a procurement system. The outcome of the research enabled the definition of the appropriate analytical practical solution.
