Based on the manuscripts, the present article has studied the history of Imamites. The first topic is the contribution of Imamites’ scholars to the philosophical traditions. The next topic has discussed the Shī‘a history in the old Bahrain (Al-Aḥsā; Qaṭīf and Awāl) based on the evidences from the codicology and paleography. In this latter part, some clans from Aḥsā who have immigrated to Iran are discussed; in addition, the less known scholarand jurist from Aḥsā, Shaikh Abdulmuḥsin Luymī (d. 1245 AH) who ended up in Sir Jan at the end of his travel, has been elaborated in detail. Later on, a short report is provided on the importance of the research about the history of old Bahrain in the works of prof. Abdul-Khāliq Janbī. Last topics are notes about the attitude of Imamites’ scholars of Safavid era toward the government, the reason for writing the book Kidhb Al-Muftarā by Ibn ‘Asākir, a study about Sayyid ῌeydar Āmilī, and Allāmah ῌillī and the book T‘abīr al-Ruyā attributed to Ibn sīrīn.
