Properties and Application of Cellulose Nanofiber and Lignocellulose Nanofiber in Papermaking Industries

Nowadays, with the introduction of nanostructures and new additives, researches will be done to improve paper properties with the point of reduction in costs and achievement to better features. Cellulose Nanofiber and lignocellulose nanofiber are the part of these nanostructures that have advantages such as renewability, recyclability, processability, and biodegradability. Films containing this nanofiber are used as a coating, in the packaging products, cellulosic films, and membranes based on their good performance and resistance to oxygen penetration. Because of the natural origin of this nanofiber, they can reduce environmental pollution loading, while being replaced with some artificial reinforcements. Cellulose and lignocellulose nanofiber are widely used in the paper industries. According to numerous studies in this field, this study has investigated the properties of cellulose nanofiber and lignocellulose nanofiber, Method of preparation and their applications in the paper industries.
