A Comparative Analysis of Distribution of Selected Urban Health Indices in Ahvaz Metropolis

. Ahwaz is one of the metropolises in Iran that has environmental pollution and lack of facilities and services. These factors threaten citizens’ quality of life and the health of. Therefore, in the present study, the comparative analysis of distribution of urban health indices in Ahwaz metropolis has been investigated. This research is descriptive-analytical in terms of its nature, theoretical-practical as far as the study method is concerned. For indexation, previous studies were operationalized, and 28 indicators whose degree of repeatability were more than the others were selected. Data were collected using questionnaires and statistics books. V-PROMETHEE and Fuzzy Inference System were used in Matlab software for data analysis. Based on The PROMETHEE Method, Ahwaz area has been ranked according to three positive (Phi +), negative (Phi) and pure (Phi) flows. The regions with the highest positive and negative minimum flows are in the first place, and the regions with the least positive and negative values are in the last ranks. The results of the fuzzy inference system also indicate that the status of the health indices of Ahwaz metropolis is between the moderate, low and very low. In fact, low and very low membership functions are mostly dominant.
