Assessment the Effective Factors in Determination the Capacity of Building Density in Historical Areas (Case Study: Urmia City)

The purpose of this article modeling the building density in the historic area of Urmia city is based on its capacity. The present research according to its purpose is practical and according to its method is descriptive- analytical. In this article, after studying the relevant sources, the number of 10 indicators based on information existence for Urmia city is selected. Calculating Weight of indexes carried out according to AHP method and preparing the information of layers is done in GIS and Global Mapper software. After importing indexes to Idrisi software for standardization of indexes using with fuzzy functions that based on the relationship of each indicator defined for the purpose of research, is action. Then weight from AHP method multiplied in each of the indexes and finally, by using the Weighted Sum, combination of weighted indicators in order to product the existence of research is done. The results of show that 9% of historical area in terms of the capacity of building density shipment in the zone of too low capacity of density, 8% in the zone of low capacity of density, 18% in the zone of middle capacity of density, 60% in the zone of high capacity of density and 5% in the zone of too high capacity of density is located.
