The Role of the Islamic Revolution in the Development of Hadith Research

The phenomenon of hadith and research regarding it has brought about a vast narrative heritage throughout history. In the contemporary period, and with the advent of the Islamic Revolution of Iran in 1979 that focused on Islamic refrains, the attention to hadith has increased exponentially and in various aspects. Hadith research has become more developed and this has led to the establishment of universities, research centers etc. that primarily focus on hadith. One of the areas of growth and development in hadith studies pertains to its research. As to how much growth it has undergone and at what rate, that is the question that has been answered in the present article. By reviewing the important indicators of the study of hadith, such as journals, dissertations, publications, libraries etc. , after the victory of the Islamic Revolution, we note that it has grown significantly. Furthermore, it is seen that some of the research has only been the developed after the victory of the revolution
