Historical Backgrounds of Security in Naser Khosrows Safarname (The Book of Travels) (Case Stud- Public and Social Security)

The communities’ foremost demand from their political systems is security, which today has found many dimensions and elements that affect all the phenomena and issues of society. Hence, it is considered to have an unbreakable bond with the creation of mankind. Since travelogues are a source of information through which one can understand the realities of the social, political, economic, and cultural conditions of periods of the history of a land and people lived there, it seems necessary to review the travelogues, including Naser Khosrow’s Safarname, for strengthening historical backgrounds of public and social security. Therefore, the present research aims to answer the following question: What is Nasser Naser Khosrow’s approach to public and social security in the book Safarname and how its elements were expressed. The statistical population of this research is the text of Naser Khosrow’s Safarname, edited by Dr. Nader Vazinpour. After studying the book, the present study raised the hypothesis that Naser Khosrow’s Safarname can be a valuable treasure for the study of public and social security because of rich contents in the field of historical, social and political issues. This research was carried out using a descriptive-analytical method. In the end, the elements of public and social security in this book were represented, and the hypothesis has been confirmed by inductive reasoning
