Investigating the Impact of Motivational Factors on the Effectiveness of Line Staff of Traffic Police Affiliate to Great Tehran's Police Command

Improving efficiency requires comprehensive effort and planning by individuals and officials who need to improve working conditions and the motives and methods of motivating employees and improving the system, guidelines, rules, circulars, methods, technology, etc., Thus, Traffic Police is not the exception. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of motivational factors on the effectiveness of Great Tehran's Police Command's Traffic Police. The purpose of this research is applied and in terms of method, it is a survey-descriptive. The statistical population consisted of the line personnel of Great Tehran's Police Command's Traffic Police, who were selected by random sampling method using Cochran sample size formula (189 people). Data collection was done by obtaining the views of experts and the validity was confirmed, while the reliability was estimated 0.82 through Cronbach's alpha. Motivational factors affecting the performance of the previous studies have been proposed, applicable to traffic and they can be used to increase the line staffs at Great Tehran's Police Command's Traffic Police. The indicators used in order of importance are: physiological needs, growth needs, and needs of dependency. The results of the study showed that the effects of motivational factors in single people is higher than that in married people, but in other variables (e.g. records, education, age and grades), there is no significant difference in the staffs.
