Abstract:
One of the issues that has been considered by the scholars of the Qur'anic areas in the present era is the commentary methodology of the Holy Qur'an. As it is led to the correct interpretation of the Holy Qur'an, the importance of paying attention to various aspects of commentary methodology is important. Also, it provides a ground for classification of commentaries based on methodological criteria, and clarifies the requirements for the methodology of commentary. One of the remarkable interpretations in the eighth century is the commentary of Kash ul Tanzil al-Mu'bahāth and al-Ta'awil, known as ‘Haddad Yemeni’s commentary’. Using descriptive-analytical method, as well as collecting materials with library methode, it has been attempted in this research to examine the interpretative approaches and tendencies of this commentator. Therefore, in studying this commentary, and considering that the interpreter's method is to use the narrative, rational and ijtihadi methods along with the lexical, theological and jurisprudential tendencies in the interpretation, it was concluded that his commentary method is relatively a comprehensive commentary of the Holy Qur'an.
