The Feasibility of rural tourism development with an emphasis on sustainable development approach

Rural tourism as a new approach to rural development and environmental protection, nowadays has found a significant position. The study, In terms of target Practical, and research method is descriptive – analytical. Data gathering is Survey - librarary method. Statistical population the studied rural settlements were Takht-e Soleyman district. The sample size consisted of 357 households that are specified using Morgan table. Data analysis survey of rural residents is done, using the mixed model AHP-SWOT (A'WOT). The results show that the most appropriate strategy for rural tourism development in the study area is Defensiveness strategy (WT) with a score of 0.6143. Accordingly, it is necessary to actions such as new regulations codification for maintain the environment, Historical monuments and prevent ecological imbalance, Bedder for public and private sectors investment in the tourism industry and the creation of appropriate infrastructures and facilities, Developing and promoting programs to educate and inform the local population in tourism, Training of specialists for the optimal use of natural and human resources, Marketing and advertising capabilities of tourism done At the local level, national and transnational.
