Relationship of Optimism and Family Performance with Marital Satisfaction of Employed Women

This research aimed to determine relationship between optimism and performance of family with marital satisfaction of employed women. Therefore, 120 employed women in governmental organizations of Abhar city were selected by stepwise-clustering. Participants answered to questi-onnaires of optimism, family performance, and marital satisfaction. Collected data were analyzed by Pearson correlation and step by step regre-ssion. Results showed there was significant and positive relationship between optimism and marital satisfaction (p<0.01). There was significant and positive relationship between family performance and marital satisfa-ction (p<0.01). Results of stepwise regression showed 46% variance of marital satisfaction was determined by family performance and optimism. Therefore, it can be concluded that family performance and optimism are related to marital satisfaction.
