Role of Integrative Self-knowledge, Experiential Avoidance and Self-Compassion in Test Anxiety of female Students

Test anxiety is one of the Psychological-educational problems that has a higher prevalence in female students. Psychological factors can play a role in explaining the test anxiety. The aim of current research was to investigate the Role of Integrative Self-knowledge, Experiential Avoidance and Self-Compassion in Test Anxiety of female Students.
This research method was correlation. 171 female Students of Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz were selected through Voluntary sampling method and responded to Test Anxiety, Integrative Self-knowledge, Experiential Avoidance and Self-Compassion Questionnaires. The gathered data were analyzed by Pearson correlation coefficient and stepwise regression.
The findings showed that there is a negative correlation between Integrative Self-knowledge and Self-Compassion with Test Anxiety (P>0.01). There is a positive correlation between Experiential Avoidance with Test Anxiety (P < 0.01). Also Among the predictor variables, Integrative Self-knowledge and Experiential Avoidance had the predictive power for test anxiety in female students (P<0.01).
The findings of this study indicate the importance of psychological factors in explaining the test anxiety. Therefore, paying attention to these factors, especially Integrative Self-knowledge and Experiential Avoidance play an important role in reducing the test anxiety of female students.
