Socio- Economic Differences Among Countries and Its Impact on Ecological Footprint (Comparison Relationship Between Ecological Footprints to GDP in Selected Countries of World)

The global economy is overtaking the Earth, which is beyond the capacity to be supported, and every day this gap is even more. The world in the middle of the second decade of third millennium puts more pressure on Earth systems and every day this pressure on natural resources and environment is widening. Recently, the issue of environmental protection has been one of the major problems in the international communities receiving the international attention. Human beings come to the realization that production and consumption patterns in the world has long been advocated by Western societies and is the Mirage. However, it is not possible to use resources used by rich countries compared with developing countries in any way, because such ways could lead to the collapse of biological systems. In this study, we first examined the concept of ecological footprint, and then determined the relationship between the ecological footprint and revenues, information on the ecological footprint and revenue extracted from a number of countries and explained the relationship and correlation among them. The study showed that developed countries have more deleterious effects on biological systems and environmental sustainability and should undertake more responsibilities in the context of sustainable development (Rio Declaration principle of common).
