Factors affecting referral to the medical commission (Case study: Police officers in the west of Tehran province)

This research was carried out to identify the factors affecting referral to the Medical Commission. The research community consisted of all police officers referring to the medical commission in Tehran west police command and a sample of 93 of them were selected randomly. The tools were Beck Anxiety Inventory, Beck Depression Scale, Spielberger's Job Stress and Researcher-made quastionaire. This research is descriptive-correlational study using logistic regression. Analysis showed that exercise, family problems, job satisfaction, drug use, economic problems, comparison with other occupations, meeting expectations, overwork, and type of exemption, grade and cause of hospitalization had a significant effect on the rate of Referring to the Medical Commission. The factors affecting the referral to the medical commission are explained explicitly from the organizational requirements and requirements of the law enforcement force, which causes individual refer to the medical commission in order to get rid of these conditions, because the experience of stress and anxiety in addition to criticism, blaming, expecting more work, emotional pains will slowly turn into physical problems and malingering.
