Assessment of the impact of knowledge-based companies, incubators and science and technology parks in economic development

Regarding to role of reaserch, development, and Knowledge utilization for capacity expansion and upgrade exploitation of resources in realization of a knowledge-based economy. This study aimed to assess the impact of science and technology parks and incubators on economic growth. This study was conducted in two phases. First, policy approaches of the selected countries were studied analyzed. In the second phase, panel data regression was used to estimate the research models. Thus at first, data analyzed by descriptive statistics and then analyzed by analytic statstics methods. Findings showed that there is a significant positive correlation between science and technology parks and incubators with economic growth. As much as, with an one percent increase of the knowledge-based companies, incubators and science parks, economic growth improved 0.0631 percent. Thus development of knowledge-based companies and attempt to establish incubators and science parks can ensure sustainable economic development of the country.
