Investigating the role of domestic women in protecting the environmentEmphasizing the optimal water consumption (Case Study: Birjand)

The environment, as its social and natural status, affects social life. Meanwhile, the social outlook on this issue and the use of all popular groups, including women and children, will be effective in improving the inclusive process.This article aims to investigate the role of housewives in optimal water use in Birjand and year 96 by descriptive-analytical method. Statistical population in this research are all housewives of Birjand, among whom 100 were randomly selected. The research instrument was a researcher-made questionnaire containing 40 questions. The research instrument was a researcher-made questionnaire that included 40 questions of statistical staging used in this research, descriptive statistics (frequency distribution, mean, ...) and inferential statistics (Pearson correlation coefficient and Spearman), which was based on the results. Based on the results, it was found that housewives can be very effective in optimizing water consumption and can use all aspects of their cultural, educational, social and ... ways to improve and manage water use efficiently. In this regard, it is suggested that the problems of using water quality with conceptualizing and measuring in other ways should be considered
