Spatial structure and its effects on quality of life in urban neighborhoods (Sample: District 15, Tehran)

Understanding the spatial structure of the city emphasizes on the land use pattern in relation to the assessment of the quality of life of citizens and the mechanisms that affect it. Therefore, quality of life as a way of coping with these changes was introduced by policy makers and planners at international and national levels. In this regard, the main objective of this study was to investigate the effect of spatial structure of the city on the quality of life in Tehran metropolitan area 15, and to understand this general purpose, sub goals, questions and research hypotheses were designed. The research method used in this survey was survey. For data collection, a researcher-made questionnaire was used. To determine the validity of the instrument, the method of face validity was used and the reliability of the questions was used using Cronbach's alpha coefficient. The statistical population of this research includes all citizens of district 15, metropolitan area Tehran. The sample size of the study was 368 people. A multi-stage sampling method was used to select the samples, taking into account age and sex characteristics. The analytical results show a significant difference between the assessment of citizens living in the study area and the spatial structure of the place of residence and satisfaction with their quality of life.
