Detect Land Use Change Using Satellite Images During 1998-2017 (study: Bonab city)

Land-use changes have been the subject of many years, but the advent of satellite imagery and land-based techniques has opened a new dimension to reviewing and evaluating land-use coverage changes. The present study was carried out to evaluate land use changes in the development of Bonab in the period 1998 to 2017 using the combined use of Geographic Information System (GIS) and Remote Sensing (RS) methods. Therefore, the knowledge of the ratio of the use of a city environment and how it changes over time is one of the most important issues in the planning process. The city is developing at an altitude of between 1,600 and 1,700 meters, which is favorable for urban development. From 1998 to 2007, the percentage of urban use increased by 2017 and was 32.33 percent, including 2125.26 hectares Includes. Due to the results of satellite images processing, the city of Bonab has had considerable spatial-physical expansion. Depending on the changes in the use of resources over time, we can anticipate future changes and take appropriate measures.
