Abstract:
Absstract Language is interesting, because only a few people have real understanding of their lingual knowledge. For reaching this understanding, verbalizing of narrative between two groups of girls and women was analyzed. 80 participates saw the Pear Story, a universal film which is designed by Chafe (1980) and retailed it. After gathering the data, they were analyzed based on Talmy’s motion events (2000). Motion verbs are motion or static situations and there are two kinds of these verbs, translational motion verbs and self-contained motion verbs. Based on results there is not meaningful different in using translational motion verbs between two groups, but they have meaningful different in using self-contained motion verbs. Basic reason for the resemblance is high frequency of translational motion verbs in Persian language. Contrary to translational motion verbs, self-contained motion verbs are more in margin of language; so in this case there are differences between two groups.
