Reflection of Local Revolts of Gilan in Historical Sources of the Safavid Era during Shah Abbas Period (1000-996 AH)

With the collapse of the local governments of northern Iran in the year 1000 AH, these areas were dominated by the Safavid government (-907 1135 AH). The result of the action of Shah Abbas (99-1038) was different in Mazandaran and Gilan, and since then, contrary to Mazandaran, Gilan had witnessed many uprisings. These uprisings began one year after the fall of the local government of Gilan, during the entire period of Shah Abbas›s government. The present study seeks to investigate the causes of these uprisings in resources by using a library method based on the description and analysis of information in historical sources. The present paper attempts to assume that the sources of this period, with a biased view of Safavid, had considered the insurrection of the people of this land against the government asthe causes of the uprisings.
